In August 2005 Centurion Properties Limited, in a joint venture with the Henderson UK Property Fund, purchased Bretby Business Park. The 33 acre business park comprised of a mix of office and industrial buildings with a total floor area of 320,000 sq ft, of which 30% was vacant on acquisition. The Park also included 7 acres of development land.

A £7 million refurbishment programme has significantly improved the building stock, the common areas and landscaping. This has brought space that was previously in a semi-derelict state back into use and has created an environment that occupiers are proud to work in.

These initiatives have resulted in dramatic results. The vacancy rate has fallen to 7% despite the recent adverse economic climate (March 2014).
A new 40,000 sq ft industrial unit was completed in November 2009, having been pre-let to a new occupier. Centurion continues to consider the options available for the development of a further 6 acres of undeveloped land.

In April 2010, Socotec relocated their UK headquarters and other regional offices to the business park to take a total 98,000 sq ft on the business park. ESG now employs over 1000 people at Bretby Business Park.

Centurion continues to work with tenants to ensure their on-going demands are met.
